Selling out?

Okay, I need to sleep, but first, I want to get this off of my mind.
And if anyone can explain it, feel free to do so.

I’ve witnessed a lot of artists being called sell-outs lately. Because they did some work that made them a lot of money, and they enjoyed doing it.
How the fuck is this a bad thing?

Seriously. When you go out there, and you get a job… You’re working for a corporate business and doing their bidding. And you’re paid for it. Does this make you a sell-out? Well, by the logic of some people, yes. The fuck?

Seriously. If someone gets paid a lot of money, to do something they love, then who the fuck are you to judge them? Why do you think you’re allowed to even comment on what they’re doing?
Oh? Freedom of speech? Yeah. Hide behind that, like every other fucking coward alive.
Just because you’re allowed to say something, doesn’t mean you SHOULD.

But now I’m going off on a tangent.
Can someone just please explain this to me? It’s giving me a headache just writing about it.

I’m gonna go and sleep now.
I hate my generation.
